Cancer is a vile and terrible disease that causes nothing but destruction both to the sufferer and the friends and family that surround him or her. The fact of the matter is that more people die from cancer each year, but the only thing that is more devastating than the disease, sometimes, is the treatment of it and you need to understand what you are getting yourself into. So, if you are suffering from cancer than turn off the television, put aside that credit card debt settlement paperwork, maybe get a glass of water and listen.
Whether you get radiation or chemo, your body is being bombarded by a harsh concoction of chemicals all aimed at destroying the cancer. Unfortunately, in order to do this, the body must also be killed in many ways to prevent the cancer from growing or feeding and that can take a toll on the sufferer. You might experience soreness in the regions of your treatment, you might even experience hair loss. These are all normal reactions to the treatment and while they are certainly surprising, you should expect them. You should also realize that cancer is a very personalized illness – no two experiences are often the same.
